Exterior and Performance
A 2.0 L engine block is installed under the hood of the 2019 Hyundai Tucson Value and SE editions. The maximum ratings for this I-4 powertrain are 161 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. All other trims run on a 2.4 L engine that delivers 181 hp and 175 lb-ft. This Hyundai crossover SUV has the D-CVVT valvetrain with the DOHC configuration. Fuel delivery is done by gasoline direct injection (GDI), which is tuned for efficiency and power. Having a towing rating of 2,000 pounds, the 2019 Tucson is designed for light-duty tasks. An optional all-wheel drive improves handling compared to the standard front-wheel drive. Each drivetrain is compatible with an automatic transmission system that has six permanent gear ratios. The innovative SHIFTRONIC shifts the transmission into lower or higher gear speeds depending on your driving style. Additionally, this model has the Drive Mode Select for sporty and normal cruising. Based on EPA estimates, the vehicle's fuel economy on the highway is 30 MPG.

Cloth by YES Essentials covers the seats in four of the 2019 Tucson trims. This premium upholstery is available in beige and gray. Front heated seats with a three-step function are installed in this Hyundai crossover SUV. Having high and low heating settings, the rear seats in the Ultimate model provide extra comfort. Additionally, this premium edition has standard ventilated front seats. You'll get superb ergonomic support from the power lumbar in the eight-way driver's seat that's wrapped in genuine leather. Having an all-new design, the cargo area includes a dual-level configuration in the floor for better organization.
The 2019 Tucson comes standard with a 7-inch touch screen that has simple menus and interfaces. Having contoured edges and several round hard buttons, an 8-inch touch screen with a GPS navigation system is installed in the Ultimate edition. USB ports in the first and second rows provide convenient charging for mobile devices. Wireless induction-type charging is also available in some of the models. Each trim allows smooth syncing of Android smartphones with Android Auto. Siri Eyes Free and other iPhone apps can be synced with Apple CarPlay. Of course, Hyundai's signature Blue Link technology is available in the Tucson. The Connected Car suite supports remote control of the vehicle. A remote keyless entry system is included in the advanced proximity key. Eight speakers by Infinity Audio are available in this Hyundai crossover SUV. Two speakers are integrated into the front door, and a subwoofer provides enhanced acoustics. Additionally, the Clari-Fi technology improves the sound quality from HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Safety
The 2019 Hyundai has the Driver Attention Warning that snaps you out of drowsy or careless driving. Before any braking force is automatically applied, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist issues cues in the instrument cluster. When traveling at fast speeds, you can set the Smart Cruise Control to maintain a desirable distance to another car. Corrective steering is done by the Lane Keeping Assist, and the Blind Spot Collision Warning also detects potential hazards in adjacent lanes. Additionally, this Hyundai has the High Beam Assist that switches between low and high beams.
