Exterior and Performance
There are two engine options available for the 2019 Hyundai Sonata. Most model trims get outfitted with a direct-injection, 2.4 Liter, inline 4. This engine puts out 185 horsepower and 178 lb. ft. of torque. It's a thrifty setup that gets 26 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway. It's mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that propels the front wheels. The Limited model can be outfitted with a 2.0 Liter, twin scroll turbo that ups the output to 245 horsepower and 260 lb. ft. of torque. The driving experience is also upgraded with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Interior and Technology
The 2019 Sonata has a comfortable, functional interior that makes the most of its 106.1 cubic feet. That's class-leading passenger volume. The base model has power windows and doors, plenty of storage space for small items, and split-folding rear seats for better access to the trunk. The Sport model adds leather accents to the seating, but the Limited model upgrades the interior with full leather upholstery, an optional panoramic sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel with matching shift knob, and accent inlays that mimic woodgrain panels.
It's hard to get bored riding in a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. The base model comes with a 7-inch full color display and the Sonata comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto full integration as standard equipment.
