Exterior and Performance
The 2018 Sonata Hybrid has a 2.0 Liter inline four cylinder engine that shares the workload with an electric motor and 270 volt, lithium-ion polymer battery. Together, they churn out 193 horsepower. The aerodynamic design and hybrid powertrain work in concert to produce 42 combined MPG on the SE and 41 combine MPG on the Limited model trim.
Interior and Technology
The interior cabin sits five occupants and has a class-leading 106.1 cubic feet of passenger volume. Rear seat occupants will enjoy 38 inches of headroom and 35.6 inches of legroom. Up front, the driver gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an easy-to-read instrument cluster. The main interface layout is simple and efficient with a 7-inch touchscreen monitor in the center console. You can use it to view power levels on your battery, control audio settings, and climate control. Limited models benefit from three different leather interior palettes including Emerald Blue.
The base model SE comes superbly-equipped with standard features that usually come with higher price tags from competitor brands. Keyless entry, rearview monitor and push button ignition are just a few examples. Other impressive standard tech. features include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and USB ports in the front and rear so you and your passengers can stay connected to the world around you. The Limited model comes with a panoramic sunroof, LED lights that track in the direction you're driving, and also comes with heated front seats and a wireless charging station. The available Blue Link feature allows you to view vehicle health information, report accidents and remotely start some of the vehicle's key systems all from your smart phone or Blue Link compatible device.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata has a 5 Star safety rating from the NHTSA. It comes with a full complement of airbags and impact-reducing front seats. Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist are standard safety features on the base model Hybrid SE.
