The 2018 Genesis G80 is part of the new Genesis luxury automobile brand. The mid-sized G80 is the entry level sedan in the Genesis brand. The vehicle is designed to create attainable luxury and value.
The 2018 model introduces a sport model which utilizes the 3.3 liter twin-turbo V-6 from the large G90 model. The standard Genesis G80 has been refreshed with an updated front grille, headlamps and bumper. There is also a new 18-inch wheel design option. On the interior, there are revised speaker grilles, gauges, a new shift knob, a new analog clock, and new wood trims.

Exterior and Performance
The 2018 Genesis G80 comes standard with a 3.8 liter V-6 that offers up to 311 horsepower. The G80 sport model offers a 3.3 Liter twin turbo V-6 that offers up to 365 horsepower. At the top end, there is an available 5.0 liter V-8 with up to 420 horsepower. On the standard V-6 engine, the zero to 60 time has been rated at 5.5 seconds. The twin turbo V-6 model has a zero to 60 time of around 5.2 seconds. Finally, the top end V-8 engine has a zero to 60 time of 4.7 seconds.
Interior and Technology
The interior of the Genesis G80 offers a number of luxurious appointments that includes full grain leather seats with three levels of heating and cooling, genuine wood trim on the center console as well as the doors and soft touch surfaces on the dash as well as the doors. Complimenting the interior design is an available panoramic roof that adds light into the luxury cabin.
The 2018 Genesis G80 offers the following key features: standard hand-free smart trunk with auto open, available Lexicon Premium Audio system with Quantum Logic Surround & Clari-Fi, full color heads up display, available multimedia driving information system and standard integrated memory system. In addition to these physical features, Genesis also provides the Connected Care service feature. With Connected Care, you can receive important information such as collision notification, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance reminders and emergency roadside assistance.
Safety
The 2018 Genesis G80 offers the following key safety features: a 9-airbag system, automatic emergency braking, smart cruise control with start/stop, lane departure warning & keep assist system, blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and drive attention alert. In addition to these key safety features, the 2018 Genesis G80 has received the 2018 5-star overall safety rating from the National highway Traffic Safety Association.
